Join us for our upcoming 2026 Tairua Surf Lifesaving Club AGM and help shape the future of our Club.

The AGM is an opportunity to reflect on the year, look ahead to the season to come, and have your say in the direction of the Club. At this meeting, we will elect Board members and welcome nominations from those keen to contribute to our Club’s leadership.

We encourage all financial members to attend and be involved.

When: Saturday 4 April 2026 (Easter weekend)
Time: 11am
Where: Tairua Surf Lifesaving Club, 38 Paku Drive
Nominations close: Friday 20 March 2026

Special Resolution – Constitutional Amendment
Notice is hereby given that the following Special Resolution will be considered at the AGM:

Motion:
That all references to “Junior Club Captain” in the Constitution be replaced with “Vice Club Captain”.
This amendment is proposed to align the Constitution with current governance practice and the title presently used by the Club.

The Role of the Board
The Board provides strategic governance for the Club, setting the long-term direction and ensuring strong leadership across our operations. Its focus is on strategy, policy, financial oversight, and sustainability, making sure the Club remains well-managed, compliant, and positioned for future growth.

The Board does not run day-to-day activities; instead, it ensures the right frameworks, resources, and support are in place so our volunteers and operational teams can deliver effectively.

It is because of committed volunteers and members like you that we are able to provide surf lifesaving education, patrol services, and community programmes for Tairua. Strong governance ensures we can continue doing so safely and sustainably for years to come.
